§ 51.01 INTRODUCTION
This chapter covers actions under Article II of Chapter 11.130 RCW, the Uniform Guardianship, Conservatorship, and Other Protective Arrangements Act, by persons who are not biological parents seeking custody of children via guardianship; and actions under Chapter 26.11 RCW for visitation with a child by a relative. It also covers de facto parentage actions under both RCW 26.26A.440 and the common-law de facto parentage doctrine.
