Replace the first sentence in the first paragraph of the original section with the following:
Before D.E.G. v. Juvenile Officer of Jackson Cnty., 601 S.W.3d 212 (Mo. banc 2020), when the juvenile court’s dismissal order was not considered a final judgment for purposes of appeal, courts found that a writ of prohibition may lie in extreme situations to permit limited review before the criminal court exercises its jurisdiction.
