O.S. and J.A.S. petitioned this Court for a writ of certiorari to review the Court of Civil Appeals' decision affirming the judgment of the Walker Circuit Court ("the circuit court") in favor of E.S. setting aside a final judgment of adoption rendered on March 11, 2008, by the Probate Court of Walker County ("the probate court"). See O.S. v. E.S., 205 So.3d 1219 (Ala.Civ.App.2013). We granted certiorari review solely to determine whether the circuit court had jurisdiction to consider E.S.'s independent action seeking to set aside the probate court's judgment of adoption.
