C. (§4.7) Who Are Not Public Governmental Bodies?
By statute, for-profit or not-for-profit entities partially owned by an institution of higher education, or in which an institution of higher education has membership, are not quasi-public bodies for the purposes of the Sunshine Law if they are engaged in commercialization of research. Section 173.1205, RSMo 2016.
The following are examples of other entities that are not “public governmental bodies” for purposes of the Sunshine Law:
