On May 21, 2012, Aland (Jiangsu) Nutraceutical Co., Ltd, agreed to pay USD 10.5 million to settle price-fixing allegations against the company related to its sales of Vitamin C in the United States. As part of the negotiated settlements, which are subject to court approval, Aland will pay USD 9.5 million to a class of direct purchasers of Vitamin C and USD 1 million to the indirect purchasers of Vitamin C.
